After carefully reviewing the latest Beta server Changelog, it confirms what many of us suspected after playing the new era since its launch: story quests and recurring quests have stopped awarding diamonds. The drop rate has been zero throughout the entire testing period, making InnoGames’ direction regarding quest rewards crystal clear.

– FOE-96775: Removed Diamonds from the Quests in the Stellar Age: Discovery are added to the Research. In overall, additional 400 Diamonds are added to Research.
– FOE-96743: Fixed the “Skip” button tooltip. Now it says: “Skip the remaining time for this mission to move to its next phase.” to match the expected behavior.
– FOE-95724: Improved Historical Allies tooltip. Now we will display all bonuses from higher Rarity – displayed as locked.

The direct impact on the Chateau Frontenac On live servers, this scenario was already foreseeable. Maintaining a Chateau Frontenac requires a considerable amount of city space to yield, at best, between 2,000 and 3,000 diamonds every one or two years. In the current meta, that same amount is earned with relative ease in just four battlegrounds or rounds in Guild Battlegrounds (GBG), drastically reducing the building’s efficiency per tile.
Delete it, keep it, or level it up? Given the current state of Great Buildings, deleting it immediately might not be the best option if there is a remote chance it receives a future rebalance. However, analyzing the current state of Chateau Frontenac on Beta, the strategic recommendation varies depending on where you are in the timeline:

Players in the Space Hub or end-game era: It is not worth investing Forge Points to level it up. Keeping it is a strictly preventive decision; its real utility at this stage has been sidelined.

Players in lower or intermediate eras: The building still holds value. It remains a practical tool for building up a diamond cushion as you advance through the research tree until reaching the end-game.
